For the multichannel sellers amongst you, we’ve introduced sales and stock locations to help you get organised.

If you are a growing business then you are probably looking at additional ways of selling your item, rather than just relying on your own website. Perhaps you are considering becoming an eBay trader or getting on Amazon marketplace? Maybe you are thinking of taking on some additional websites, or selling via a good old fashioned High St store.

Whatever your plans, you’ll soon learn that stock management across all of those channels can quickly become a right pain.

You’ve sold out in the shop, but have still got 500 items reserved for the website – you need to shift that stock quickly! Maybe you want to reserve some stock for a big eBay push you’re about to do?

A new feature in Shopit v3 allows you to segment your stock across each different sales channel. Once your stock room that serves the website is empty, you’re going to need that item to be switched off automatically on the website, before you shift the unsold shop stock over.

It can be a minefield knowing where every item is, and this is where we are looking to help.
