Blog | Joining Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

2nd January 2018

In January 2017 Project Octo joined the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and this year we will rejoin. Why? Read on.

The Greater Manchester Chamber is the largest Chamber of Commerce in the UK, they provide first-class business support to companies of all shapes and sizes through a range of sector-based membership services.

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

The Manchester Chamber boasts the largest Policy team throughout the entire Chamber network; they research and represent members’ views on issues such as transport, environment, skills and the economy across all ten local authority areas. They use their influence with local and central government to lobby on behalf of our members as the voice of the Greater Manchester business community.

Since becoming a member, Project Octo has fully taken advantage of all the benefits included in the membership.

We have been able to reach out to our audience by publishing content in the 53 Degree magazine, but also the weekly and fortnightly newsletters that they send out to their 5,000 members.

Project Octo also took part in May in the Meet The Expert panel, where we met several companies and provided guidance and advice on exporting their businesses abroad.

Here is a list of the articles we have published on the official Chamber website:

Growing our Agency

Opening our Melbourne office

Offering our eCommerce expertise

In short, the GM Chamber provides us with fantastic access to over 5000 members from a variety of industries; to the smiling helpful and knowledge GMCC team who are incredibly supportive of what we do; and to a continuous stream of networking, training and educational events every single month.

We have made some fantastic connections and friends through the GM Chamber events, including taking on Helen Provart as an Export Consultant to help our clients grow abroad. Going into 2018, our energy levels are high and the Greater Manchester Chamber truly reflects and supports us in all we do.
